Breathing Seismograph 2016

‘Breathing Seismograph’ is a machine that measures and draws the depth and rate of breathing, known from a spirometer. The drawing of my breath during a certain time frame will be reflected in a drawing as a physical witness of my presence by the very breath that I take during this time. The drawing will visually simulate a spirometer or cardiogram, but also it simulating a Rorschach test, which rather measures the mental and emotional human being.

Venue: 11.03.2016 Dysgeusia at Format Artspace. Duration: 94 Breath.  Video by Christine Løkkebø.
